What do you consider normal that is the oddest of any behavior or action to have that opinion of yours? Justify your opinions where you can.
Personally, I don't find the idea of wanting to get castrated or have a limb amputated to get around some mental need that weird. Often enough the fulfill similar mental needs, changing hormones tend to make people assholes in the short run but that doesn't give me justification to seriously question behavior. It's a shame, because often balls are cute, but meh.

I think it's weird when people spend hundreds of dollars on name brand shit when there's the non brand shit for way less. Especially when it looks the same, feels, the same, has the same material, etc. I wear Tiffany&Company necklaces and people always think they're real. Unless it's painfully obvious that it's not real, why go the extra mile to look cool buy buying brand name shit?

My Tiffany&Company necklace looks exactly the fucking same as the real thing. Only someone who is an expert in jewelery of some sorts could tell the difference. My social status looks the same either way. WHY SPEND EXTRA MONEY ON THE SAME SHIT? Maybe I would understand this if I had money to throw away.

Your social status stays the same, because your friends also cannot afford real Tiffany shit. If you had more money and friends with more money and your friends would wear Tiffany and knew the difference between it and fake stuff, then it would matter.
Also, you said: "I think it's weird when people spend hundreds of dollars on name brand shit when there's the non brand shit for way less. Especially when it looks the same, feels, the same, has the same material, etc." and this "Unless it's painfully obvious that it's not real, why go the extra mile to look cool buy buying brand name shit?". I was talking about why people do it, in general.
You seriously have never noticed that people that are in a group dress in a similar way? Really?

It the reverse, I find more things about my society and fellow humans puzzling. Perhaps I just over-analyse things though.
